Accessing the Panel
How to get started with MegaByte, accessing the panel.
Introduction
This guide will go over how to access the panel for your newly purchased Minecraft Server. It's pretty simple to do this, so just follow along and we'll be done in no time. Of course, for this too work you need to make sure you have emails open and you've purchased a server.
Simplified Steps
Navigate to https://game.megabyte.host
Enter your email and password from your emails.
Enable 2FA for a secure experience.
Step #1 - Navigate to the Panel
The first order of action is to navigate to our game panel. You can do this by going to https://game.megabyte.host and once you're there, you can continue onto the next step.
Step #2 - Login
When you go to the web page, it'll ask you for your Email & Password. You may be wondering which email and which password it uses but I'm just letting you know now, it's not your billing account password. It does however use your Billing account email, and a temporary password sent to you in emails.
You should've received an email from a no-reply address stating your temporary password once you've bought your server. This means that you can now login, so you'll want to input your billing email into the Email
box and then your temporary password into the Password
box.
Step #3 - Enabling "2-Factor Authentication"
What is "2-Factor Authentication"? It's when you have to use a device such as your phone to verify that it's you logging into your account. This prevents hackers from entering your account unwillingly and keeps your community of Minecraft Players super-duper safe! Just follow the steps below...
Go to
Home > Security Controls
Scroll down to "2-Factor Authentication"
Click "Enable 2-Factor Authentication"
Download Google Authenticator
Scan the QR Code
Input your temporary token
Hopefully, just like that, you should've enabled 2FA on your account, and now everytime you login it will ask you for a token that is regenerated every x amount of seconds in the Google Authenticator App. I know it sounds really annoying to have to put in a token, but it may save your account one day!
